We purchased two Micro SD Card Readers for our twin boys who have Autism so that they could use a special sound file that was to be loaded on an SD card and played via the Micro SD Card Reader and attached via the clip to full sized headphones, allowing them to still move about.
Unfortunately we have since found out that the SD card supplied to us uses the lossless.WAV format which this player will not play.
However, the micro SD Card Reader MP3 player is ideal for our 8 year old son who loves to listen to music in bed at night. The clip attaches to his Pyjama collar so we can easily find it later when he falls asleep. It`s amazing that something smaller than a matchbox can fit all his favorite songs and he loves the lightness of it and we love the safety aspect. The price is such value for money that we still recommend this product and website to our friends.
So although the initial reason for purchasing was unsuccessful. The outcome for our older son was very `awesome` in his own words and it`s nice to see him happy.
I think this serves a great purpose for a stand alone player. With the sd slot, you can change mixes and use it for workouts.
